Old North Christian Education

Old North doesn't quite have the oldest Sunday School in the nation
but it's close!  Rev. Samuel Dana established his Sunday School in 1817
a mere 8 years after the first church Sunday School in Pittsburg in 1809.

Church School

Classes for 3 year-olds through grade 7 are available weekly during the 10 AM adult worship service. Supervision is provided for infants and toddlers under age 3.

Confirmation

ONC has a strong 2-year program, with an adult mentor program in the second year. The first year is focused on Bible Literacy, while the second year incorporates church history, characteristics and workings of ONC and the UCC, as well as, personal faith development and application. Youth may begin the confirmation process in 7th grade.

Youth Ministry

Both Junior and Senior Youth programs are centerered on fellowship, service and faith. The Junior Youth program follows a traditional youth group model, providing the gatrhering of youth with various types of activities, service projects and discussions. The Senior Youth Program, on the other hand, offers various options, including a mission trip and a monthly service project, allowing youth to choose what best fills their needs and interests.

Adult Education

Opportunities for Adult Education and faith formation are offered at times throughout the year.
